Downtown Art Walk Presents: “We The People”

THE JANUARY 12th DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES ART WALK
LOS ANGELES

December 20, 2016 –This January, the Downtown LA Art Walk will curate an exhibition entitled “We The People”. Taking place on Thursday, January 12th from the 6-10pm, this event will feature submissions by local artists regarding the challenges currently impacting our country’s social and political landscape. Including a range of mediums such as photography, oil paintings, and digital illustrations, “We The People” will touch on topics of immigration, gender, race, violence, sexuality, religion, and more. The purpose of this show is to create a feeling of solidarity and to offer hope and inspiration for all those in the arts.

The exhibition will be held at the Downtown Art Walk Lounge, located at 634 S. Spring Street, for one night only. Submissions will continue to be accepted until December 28th, 2016. There is no submission fee for this event, however 25% of all sales will go to supporting the Downtown Art Walk. Participating galleries for this month’s Downtown Art Walk event include: The Fine Arts Building, Gloria Delson Contemporary Arts Gallery, The Hive, The Spring Arts Collective, REN GalleryBerta Art Studios,  Little Tokyo Art Complex, and Lobby Gallery.
