THE MAY 11th DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES ART WALK
May 3rd, 2017 –What once began as a creative outlet for science fiction fans in the 1920s has now morphed into a massive network of zine publishers and consumers. In recognition of this longstanding creative tradition, the Downtown Art Walk is excited to celebrate May’s Art Walk event with a special dedication to LA ZINES & INDIE PUBLICATIONS! Featuring special publications by Lawrence Lindell Studios, Chrysopoeia, Asymmetric Magazine, Roustan Bodypaint, Genevieve Munroe Co., Annie Nishida, PopOok!!, BOOMCAT, Plant Bunnies, and more, this unique event will offer patrons an opportunity to peruse some of LA’s most engaging new self publications!
Participating galleries for this month’s Downtown Art Walk event include: Please Do Not Enter, The Main Museum, The Fine Arts Building, Gloria Delson Contemporary Arts Gallery, The Hive, The Spring Arts Collective, Little Tokyo Art Complex, El Playground Gallery and Lobby Gallery.
