Attention Los Angeles art lovers – the May 2012 Downtown Los Angeles Art Walk will be the first of the Summer Series of events that will take place at Exchange LA, and are brought to you by Downtown Los Angeles Art Walk, Bluecanvas and Exchange LA.

The first floor gallery space will house “Pressurized Content” – a one night only gallery show brought to you by Bluecanvas. Exhibiting will be the solo and collaborative works of RISK & Nathan Ota as well as select faculty, alumni and student work from Cranbrook Academy of Art. Bluecanvas magazine issue 12 will be on sale at this event and there will be a limited signing by RISK & Nathan Ota, cover artists.

The second floor of Exchange LA will host Art Battles. Vote online (http://artbattles.com/vote) for your favorite artist from April 12-27. The top four voted artists will compete at Exchange LA for the chance to battle existing champion artists: Gregory Siff, Concep and Miranda Maxwell. The audience will determine the winner who will advance to compete in Art Battles Amsterdam.
