“Art Within & Beyond Pakistan”

The Downtown Art Walk welcomes in partnership the Honorable Riffat Masood, Consul General, Consulate General of Pakistan, Los Angeles, City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs and the Los Angeles Police Department.

The exhibit “art within and beyond Pakistan” is a two-day exhibit at the Old Bank building located at 401 S. Main Street during the Downtown Art Walk in Downtown Los Angeles. The exhibit will be open for Art Walk on December 13th and Friday December 14th, 2013

Art is both a globally understood language and conversation simultaneously. Through the ‘Art Within and Beyond Pakistan’ exhibit we are able to bridge some of the distance between our respective communities here and in Pakistan. These works illustrate universal ideas, common struggles and global celebrations of life.
Joseph Moller Executive Director, Downtown Art Walk

The aesthetic expression and appeal of our fine arts-right from Indus and Gandhara civilizations’ preserved art works to the modern day paintings, sculpture and calligraphy-are indeed of highest caliber.
