The Brewery Art Tour

For this special WORLD ART DAY / WEEKEND EVENT, we offer a FREE guided tour of 8 significant artists studios and homes, where art enthusiasts will be treated to historical information, artist musings and inspirations, and other tales from the talented. The tour will be held on SUNDAY APRIL 17TH, FROM NOON – 4 PM. Featured Artists include Andre Miripolsky, Guillermo Bert, Jen Moore, Jill Sykes, Kristin Schomaker, Sean Sobczak, Teale Hathaway, and Ted Meyer. The tour will begin at 12 noon sharp. RSVP’s are a must and cancellations required if you cannot attend, as space is very limited. Meet at Barbara’s Restaurant at the Brewery Moulton Street entrance at 11:45AM. Each stop will last approx. 20-30 minutes, ending at the I-5 Gallery and Brewery Atrium, where a special exhibit of of BOTART will be featured. BOTART is a large curated collection of international artists whose unique art is featured on wooden wine barrels. More than 30 barrels will be on exhibit along with additional art by select artists. The I-5 Gallery will also be the site of the World Art DayWeekend Closing Reception, with refreshments and entertainment from 4-7 pm. The reception is open to the general public and also free, but reservations are also requested for this separate event.

Dream State – Artist Reception

REN Gallery presents a select group of rare limited edition prints by Danish artist Mikael Brandrup, as well as several new original paintings in a series called Dream State, debuting at the World Art Day festival. Brandrup's abstract works exude vibrant color, incorporating lettering, spray paint, digital art, and a fusion of paint and photography. In honor of World Art Day, Brandrup will show his famous abstract World Maps, which launched his career as a painter. Brandrup relocated to Los Angeles just two years ago, and in that short time has made a huge impact on conceptual urban art around the world. Brandrup has exhibited at SCOPE Miami, Thinkspace Gallery Los Angeles, Red Penguin Art Gallery Marbella Spain, and Corey Helford Gallery Los Angeles. Through May 8th.
